About

My name is Wesley Robins and I am a freelance illustrator based in Rochester, Kent. After graduating from Kingston University with a BA (Hons) First in Illustration and Animation, I have gone on to produce illustrations for various books, magazines, games, storyboards and animations - and now the odd bit of pottery too.

I like to mix digital illustration with traditional media such as gouache, ink and watercolour. Being particularly interested in history and the outdoors, much of my work has an educational aspect to it, focusing on environmental or historical themes.

Examples include illustrations and content for English heritage - their ‘Kid’s Rule!’ magazine and draw-along art tutorial videos; Artwork for the RSPB’s ‘Wild Explorer’ magazine; as well as books such as ‘Geography for beginners’ (published by Usborne).
